Amazing Spider-Man #121, 1973, art by Gil Kane. The death of Gwen Stacy was a huge event and marked the end of the Silver Age of #comics and the beginning of the Bronze Age. Back then it was unthinkable to kill off such an important character. And significantly she is one of the few to die that actually stayed dead in comics. Very 1st appearance of Harry Osborn (Peter’s best friend and 2nd Green Goblin), Gwen Stacy (Peter’s 1st love; #EmmaStone), and Prof. Miles Warren (The Jackal). Also Peter’s first day attending Empire State University. Can’t wait to watch #TASM tomorrow! Posting one of my favorite comics in my collection tomorrow that involves Gwen and Green Goblin.
