I looked at the barcode design I posted earlier and realized I needed to make it more toothbrushy. So yeahhhhh. And thanks to my homie John Paul B for correcting me as I mistakenly mistook the first person who purchased a product with a UPC for the inventor which was actually IBM researcher George Laurer. Oops!
I know I’m late but 6/26 was the birthday of the bar code invented by IBM’s George Laurer in 1973. (Thanks to my friend John Paul B for correcting me.) Clyde Dawson was the first to purchase an item with the UPC. @Mashable posted 10 Creative Barcode Designs and I figured since I’ve been on a creative kick lately, I’d design my own…on my iPad of course! haha Heres my toothbrush barcode design I created using the Inkpad vector based drawing app. :)

Ahhhh! I need your help until midnight tonight (5/27)!
Incubus is having this contest to promote their new album “If not now, then when?” Perform a cover of their next single “Promises, Promises”. Winner gets to meet the band + backstage passes to a concert. Me being a huge Incubus fan (my last youtube upload was a cover of “I Miss You”), I had to enter. And I was going to do it solely using iPad apps and my vocal chords. Unfortunately things kept getting in the way of me finishing the video (i.e. - rendering issues in final cut pro) and theres probably no way I’ll advance to the next round since I won’t be one of the top 10 with the most views between the dates of May 11th to tonight, 27th (some ppl have 20,000 views already. sad face.). And not to sound like a sore loser, but it kinda irks me when I think that my entry is worthy of at least going to the next round where Incubus will judge. Oh well. Lessons were learned during the making of this. It’s my bad for not learning these lessons earlier and outputting more YouTube videos like this. Anyway, I don’t expect to pull a Rebecca Black “Friday” and get a million views by midnight but I’d be grateful if you took a minute to check out my version, and repost it. Finger painted this on my iPad 2 using the Inspire Pro app. Took a little bit of time and patience to get used to getting the outcome I wanted. Now I think I’m ready for some more fun with this. Highly recommend this app for artists. I love the ease of being able to blend colors to your liking.
My bday present: an “Eye Pad!”
I knew the box felt a little light when I opened it. Instead of an iPad it was a gauze Eye Pad! Lol But underneath it all was an Apple gift card that is enough to cover the iPad 2 when it’s released later this year. Thanks to my brother and my awesome girlfriend for the gift! Love you guys!
